Service Plan Review

RingCentral’s premier edition is their most popular service offering as it spans the range of features at affordable prices. RingCentral’s Office service is one of the most feature rich of all the service providers, and the premier addition lacks very little that even large companies would require from a cloud based PBX system. Indeed RingCentral’s Office, Premier Edition, lacks only voicemail-to-text as an obvious omission from their otherwise comprehensive array of features. However, when comparing Office Premier Edition to competitors, it is important to realize that this is not just a cloud IP/PBX, with unlimited calling, it is as RingCentral are now claiming a Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS) product as it delivers not just voice, but unified communications. RingCentral delivers this through not only voice, but also by incorporating video, chat, email, and social media channels. Furthermore, it has inbuilt collaboration tools, such as Skype like features such as the capability to share your desktop, and video conferencing, both of which enable online presentations, remote training or technical support.

In summary, RingCentral Premier Edition is their flagship product, which is feature rich and competitively priced. It has all the PBX and mobility features and applications you would expect, as well as integration with most popular CRM and business applications. As a result, Premier Edition is a true UCaaS product that delivers a lot more than just voice and these additional features do not come at a premium price but as part of the service.

Service Plan Review

The eVoice Small business plans are designed for the small business that requires a professional inbound answering service that projects the professional image of a much larger organization. The service plan comes in three options, at $29.99, $49.99 and $79.99 respectively. The Small Business Plan uses the same feature set across all plans as it is only the free minutes, number of extensions and phone numbers that differ. For example, the most popular $29.99 service plan comes with 1,000 minutes, 5 extensions and 15 numbers, whereas the $49.99 comes with 2,000 minutes, 10 extensions and 30 numbers and 4,000 minutes respectively. The $79.99, has 4,000 minutes, 15 extensions and 45 numbers. In all cases should you use more than the free minutes allocated for the plan you are billed at 3.9¢ per minute, which is quite high.

The eVoice virtual phone service works using an auto attendant to answer inbound calls to the business number. The auto-attendant provides a customized greeting and a menu of options for the caller to choose from. The menu can be configured to give the impression of a much larger organization by listing departments, so for example you may have press 1 for sales or 2 for billing.

Other notable features are virtual voicemail, which records the message then sends the audio file to the recipients email. There are also voicemail to text and voicemail for mobile. Additionally, there is also call routing rules which allow calls to be forwarded to different phone numbers at scheduled times, for example in the evening or at the weekend and these rules are easily configured on the online management portal.
Some premier features cost extra and some nice ones for an SMB is web and video conferencing, as well as call recording and business texting. Other premier features are a live receptionist to answer and forward calls and a live voicemail transcribing service.
